Field Order no. 15
?The order is issued in January 1865 by Sherman in a feedback for the down(p)s commission. The military order 400,000 lands to subdivide in 40 acres for the black families. Sherman also offered them broken stack mules that they dont longer use. This order originated the phrase of forty acres and a mule pull ining the meaning of the Field order no. 15.
Black codes
