George C. Marshall

George C. Marshall 	George C. Marshall was born on December 31, 1880, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from the Virginia Military prove (VMI) in 1901 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant. During realism state of war I he was stationed in France and won acclaim for his statement of the Meuse-Argonne offensive.

Before the offensive, Marshall was responsible for; the withdrawal of 200,000 men, and replacing them with 600,000 American soldiers, making sure that there were hospitals to treat the sick and wounded, go more than 3,000 cannons and 40,000 tons of ammunition, all the while hiding these movements from the Germans by moving only at night. 	 afterwards World War I he was a superior aide to General John J.
