not alot The Jungle--a review By: Captain Ryan As I opened the cover of The Jungle, I anticipated involveing a tragical story ab break the cruelness inflicted upon a poor, proletariat family. I had memorise an excerpt from the novel and had conversed with people who had read it; I thought the story was going to be solid, and peradventure yet entertaining. I was incredibly wrong. The beginning of the story started turn out slow, as it was just another “American Dream” fleck story. Jurgis and family came to the States seeking a better life and freedom from their rude of origin’s injustices.

The story had potential, exc lusively the redundancy of the descriptions wore old. I save need to hear once or maybe even twice how cold the winters were, or how evil the pugilism bosses were.
